“But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.”

Psalm 86:15

The Psalmist speaks of his affliction, arrogant and violent men who seek his life, and describes this time in his life as “the day of my trouble.” Yet in spite of these circumstances, his understanding of God is such that he knows God is with him, will hear his prayers, and will answer.

“In the day of my trouble I shall call upon You, For You will answer me.”

Psalm 86:7

May God grant each of us such a view of God and confidence in His mercy, grace, and covenantal love.
